The Planet Earth will be Liveable for 1.75 billion years. Then We will go to Mars

A group of American scientists led by Andrew Rushdie has studied the life of the 'liveability' of the
planet Earth. Waiting to enter the 'hot zone' of the sun, humans could deteriorate the environment and become extinct long before. For this reason we are looking for other alternatives and it seems that the Red Planet Mars is the favorite.

Based on the Sun distance and on the conditions required to keep water in liquid state, a research made by the University of East Anglia in Britain, has decreed that life on Earth will be still possible for other 1.75 billion years. After the Earth will enter the "hot zone" of the Sun causing the evaporation of the water and the extinction of life .

According to the research, published in the journal Astrobiology , the Earth will become uninhabitable between 1.75 and 3.25 billion years from now . But these results do not take into account the environment human impact.  "Of course - said Andrew Rushby , author of the study - the conditions of habitability acceptable to humans and other life will become very difficult long time before because of anthropogenic climate change. Humans are in trouble just with small increases in temperature and, near the end, only certain microbes in hidden spaces can withstand the heat . "

Determine the period of the Earth's habitability is important to highlight the time evolution of complex life forms . According to the words of Rushdy , this work " allows us to understand whether other planets will be hospitable to life or not." By studying the time evolution on Earth, the team of researchers has suggested that in order to grow intelligent forms of life it requires a very long time. Think that Man has evolved in a time equal to 75% of life time on Earth.

Mars is very close to Earth and will remain in a state of habitability until the end of the life cycle of the Sun, about 6 billion years. So MArs is certainly candidate to be the next human planet!
